This means a number of different things, depending on which couple or family you ask. Everybody has diverse reasons for wanting to conceive the gender of their choice. Usually, there is no one reason that you choose to either conceive a baby girl or a baby boy. There would be too many reasons to list here as every couple I’ve ever talked to usually has several reasons for whichever gender they choose.

There are a couple of ideas I have about family balancing. I am an idealist, so take them for what they are worth.

1. Several families choose to have a boy before they conceive a girl. The boy will be older. He serves as a protector for his younger sister. Hes also secondary to father as a source of healthy male support. He will also serve as an idea as to what a young lady would look for in her future mate. This will benefit the boy by giving him an intuitive and immediate responsibility to someone. He feels purpose. He is older than her, so he offers her guidance and leadership , but he is male and serves as her protector. I have a lot of faith in this premise. I think that its good. I also think my big brother is not only my protector but he is my lighthouse - a safe place in any storm life might bring. As girls age, they usually do (or should) feel this way about their older brothers.
