In our time of great technology it is now used for the latter and also to help select the baby gender of choice for fa,ilies that choose to use it.

There are many available methods which couples can choose to choose the gender of there choice but consider this:
Using PGD  can cost you up to 20,000 for just one try.
They results of PGD are statisticly pretty good, but there is no guarantee.

PGD is about 90% effective for those couples who choose to try  and conceive a baby girl and it’s only 70% effective for those couples who are trying to conceive a baby boy.

While PGD was invented to help stop disease by identifying a problem with the woman’s embryo - It’s not usually used for that anymore. Many people would be surprised that it’s most common use now is to predict the gender of a baby.

For those couples who can afford to spend 20,000 dollars or more each month until they successfully conceive the gender of their choice (and then it’s still not guaranteed) then I would suggest PGD.  Please know that because of these very high costs that many couples are now choosing to use natural methods.
